Welcome to Trails 4 Tomorrow

The draft South Saskatchewan Regional Plan (SSRP) is a proposed plan form the government which includes managing recreation on public land in Southern Alberta. This draft reflects no changes in the fundamental polices of motorized recreation on public land from those that have been in effect in Alberta for the past generation. The policies of the past, specifically Access Management Plans and Public Land Use Zones, do not adequately manage motorized recreation on public land, and lead to disrespect and abuse of our back country, and ultimately a loss of recreational opportunities for Albertans.

Trails4Tomorrow is recommending that the SSRP adopt a new approach for managing recreation on public land, one which is based on a simple and successful framework used in other land management initiatives in Alberta, and used elsewhere in North America to manage recreation on public land.

Within this web site, you may understand the 5E's Management Framework for managing recreation on public land, and add your voice in support this framework with the on line Petition to the Land Use Secretariat to include the 5E's Management Framework in the next draft of the SSRP.
