NOHVCC Trail Engineering Training

Who: National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council and volunteer trail stewards

Where: Ghost PLUZ


What: The training consisted of a blend of classroom work to understand the technical details of trail design such as slopes and grades, soil conditions and water management techniques, as well as principles and approaches for successful management of trails on public land. Field days included hands-on, practical training on how to inventory trials and their conditions, identify problem areas, and design sustainable solutions to those problem areas.

Why: All of the training on ‘Engineering’ complimented the broad expertise within our community of four wheel drive enthusiasts.
