The 6th E: Economy

The 6^th E underlying all of the others is the Economy. Recreation is Tourism. Alberta’s trails are widely visited by Albertans and visitors from around the world. If properly managed using the 5E’s framework, Alberta can increasingly be a world class destination for backcountry enthusiasts for an entire spectrum of recreation, while still preserving our shared conservation values such as the diversity of wildlife and maintaining the critical watershed headwaters in the region.
